Culturally Appropriate Care for Residents of Culturally & Linguistically Diverse Background (CALD)

Session outline:

  •     Communicating in a multicultural workplace - staff to residents & staff to staff

Supporting Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Older People Who Have Experienced Trauma

This course is co-facilitated with ASeTTS and is designed to improve participants’ knowledge, understanding and management of older culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) people who have experienced trauma and are using aged care services.

Speaking My Language

This training is designed to assist residential and community aged care staff who are providing care for people with dementia from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds whose behaviours are changing. It emphasises the importance of an holistic, individual approach to caring for a person with dementia that includes consideration of their cultural, religious and linguistic background.
