Equipment Funding Programs
Organisations - For use at an educational facility (school or tertiary)
Schools have a commitment to provide an inclusive educational environment for all students, including students with disabilities. Equipment needed for school should be discussed with school staff and management. Schools apply for specialised equipment for students with disabilities according to the processes of their relevant organisation.
Individuals cannot approach these organisations directly for specialised equipment. All needs are to be discussed with school staff. Information on relevant organisations are listed below.
Government schools: Department of Education and Training (DET). Relevant links are:
Independent Schools: Association of Independent Schools of Western Australia (AISWA). Inclusive Education Consultants are available to give advice to Independent schools to support children with learning difficulties or disabilities (by invitation of the school only), help schools apply for State and Commonwealth funding, work with organisations such as Disability Services Commission, Therapy Focus etc and collaboratively consult with parents.
