Enhancing Access (DAIPs) Grants
The Western Australian Government released $750,000 for one-off grant funding to assist NGOs work towards improving the access and inclusion of people with disabilities. Applications were received from 38 NGOs for projects ranging from improving website accessibility to staff training and induction packages, including a disability awareness DVD.
Equipment for Living Grants
Equipment for Living Grants were non-recurrent grants to provide vital equipment for people with disabilities that were not available through the Community Aids and Equipment (CAEP) scheme or other support programs. The grants enabled people with disabilities to participate more independently in their homes and communities. All funds have been allocated.
