Training

The Independent Living Centre of WA (Inc) offers training sessions to people working in the health, community care, disability, government and private sectors.  Training programmes have an emphasis on practical skills and can be customised to suit the specific needs of an individual or group. Modules can be undertaken either at the ILC premises or the client’s own location.

A manual handling consultancy service is also available upon request.

Occupational Therapists and Speech Pathologists including

  • Accredited Manutention manual handling trainers
  • Workplace trainers and assessors
  • Therapists with extensive clinical experience
Unique Access to Equipment
  • An extensive collection of aids and assistive equipment enabling every workshop participant to use and understand items
  • Access to a range of specialist equipment which is assembled for focus workshops
